Sarah Windsor

Sarah Windsor embarked on her firefighting journey in 2009 as a volunteer with the Grey Forest Fire Department, later joining the Geronimo Village Volunteer Fire Department, now known as Bexar County 2 Fire Department, where she dedicated 14 years of service. Sarah is a licensed paramedic with a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, she holds multiple Texas Commission on Fire Protection Certifications. Additionally, a graduate of the Texas A&M Mays Business School, Fire Service Chief Executive Officer program along with the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy.

Along with her role in Medina County, she has remained active in the state's Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF8) since 2017, she has deployed to various events, while obtaining certifications as an Ambulance Strike Team Leader and Medical Incident Support Team member through the EMTF program. In spring 2023, she accepted the position to become the first career Assistant Fire Chief for the Emergency Services District. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her dog, and cherishing moments with friends and family.
